What is an M3 CASING GAS COMPRESSOR?

The Cream Energy Group M3 Hydraulic Casing Gas Compressor is an electrically driven hydraulic pump that uses hydraulic fluid to drive the casing gas compressor.

By doing so, the M3 actually reduces the backpressure on the formation face, thus increasing the amount of oil entering the bore and greatly increases the efficiency and profitability of the well.

A side benefit that can be realized is that gas is also transmitted down the flowline, in some cases increasing profitability. Depending on the situation, an M3 can eliminate flaring and assist in decreasing your carbon footprint.

CEG manufactures the M3 compressors in 3 different bore sizes (6ā€, 8ā€ and 10ā€ diameter) w a stroke length of 36ā€

  • Artificial Gas Lift System

Artificial lift refers to the use of artificial means to increase the flow of liquids, such as crude oil or water, from a production well.

  • Vapor Recovery System

Vapor recovery units are becoming commonly used in the oil and gas industry as a means of recovering natural gas vapor and making it a usable and profitable product.

  • Relieve Restricting Back Pressure

Backpressure restricts oil and gas production and put unnecessary strain on equipment.

  • Increases Profitability

Increased production allows marginal or losing wells to become profitable.

  • Equipment Gas Supply

Vented gas becomes a fuel source for equipment such as engines, generators, etc.

  • Transmit Vented Gas

Transportation of vented gas down the flow line increases value and compliance.

When does a Beam Compressor make sense?

The M3 casing gas compressor fromĀ Cream Energy GroupĀ is a must-have for any oil and gas company looking to optimize their operations and improve their bottom line. Traditional electrically-driven compressors do not address the issue of backpressure on the formation face caused by theĀ hydrostatic headĀ of the fluid level and surface casing pressure. This can lead to reduced productivity and profitability of the well. However, theĀ M3 casing gas compressorĀ addresses this issue by reducing the casing pressure, allowing for increased production and efficiency of the well.

Additionally, theĀ M3 casing gasĀ compressor helps minimizeĀ gas lock problemsĀ in the pump, leading to improved volumetric efficiency. By divertingĀ free gasĀ into the annulus and producing it with the assistance of the M3 compressor, you can further increase your productivity and profitability. Moreover, the M3 compressor can help reduce the density of the fluid in the annulus, leading to a reduction of backpressure exerted on the formation and increased oil and gas production.

If you have wells with very littleĀ solution gasĀ or those that have lost production afterĀ flow linesĀ were put into place, theĀ M3 casingĀ gas compressor is an excellent investment. With itsĀ innovative technologyĀ and customizable bore sizes, the M3 compressor offers a powerful solution to help you achieve maximum throughput and minimize downtime. By choosing the M3 casing gas compressor from Cream Energy Group, you can significantly increase your energy production efficiency, reduce your operating costs, and improve your profitability.

M3 HYDRAULIC CASING GAS COMPRESSOR

The following is some preliminary information on the M3 HYDRAULIC CASING GAS COMPRESSOR (M3).

These compressors are single stage, double acting, non lubricated gas compressors that are driven off the hydraulics from an electric motor skid.

Cream Compression Ltd manufactures M3 compressors in 3 different bore sizes (6ā€™ā€™, 8ā€™ā€™ and 10ā€™ā€™ diameter) with a 36″ stroke length.

We have manufactured compressors as large as 10ā€™ā€™ bore x 60ā€™ā€™ stroke for higher volume, low pressure applications.

The compressor can be single acted, by removing the internals from one of the suction valves, to fit lower volume applications.

The M3 is designed to working pressures much higher than the actual discharge pressures they are typically installed to compress into.

This design is intended to provide a very rugged, dependable, compressor for longevity and reliable operation.

Generally speaking the M3 is limited to a maximum working pressure as determined by

  • The MAWP of the hoses selected for installation to the well head
  • The set pressure of the discharge relief valve.

For preliminary sizing purposes we consider a couple of ā€˜ā€™rules of thumbā€™ā€™ to help determine the size of compressor that can be considered.

  1. Compression ratio
    • 6ā€™ā€™ bore compressors:Ā Ā Ā Ā  5:1 ratio
    • 8ā€™ā€™ bore compressors:Ā Ā Ā Ā  4:1 ratio
    • 10ā€™ā€™ bore compressors:Ā Ā  3:1 ratio
